My name is Alice Bundi, owner/provider of Aliceville Adult Family Home (AFH). I am a certified nurse assistant with over 20 years of experience. Caregiving is a calling for me and it started from an early age. Growing up in Kenya I took care of my grandmother who had dementia and diabetes. My experience as a caregiver/CNA comes from various settings like assisted living, nursing homes, private care, and adult family homes. I have enjoyed working in AFH. It has allowed me to give more individualized attention to my residents. Being a resident manager for seven years gave me enough experience to start my own adult family home. I started Aliceville Adult Family Home to provide high-quality age-in-place care that is affordable. My husband is a RN with 20 years of experience working with the elderly and dementia diagnosis. He is the house manager. Our home is family owned and run and we have zero caregiver turnover. Our home has licensed caregivers who work 24.7 to provide care to our residents. The owner and manager are available most of the day and provide hands-on care to the residents to ensure their needs are met. The home has night-awake staff who provide care to our residents at night. The home is licensed to care for seniors who have cognitive impairment and need physical assistance due to medical complications or age-related decline or frailty. We assist our residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as feeding, transfer, ambulation, toileting, pericare, showering, and so on.
